Yulia Ustyugova is currently a senior economist in the IMF's Western Hemisphere Department, covering Canada. Previously, she was a desk economist for various Latin American countries. Prior to joining the IMF in 2007, she was an economist at the Bank of Russia. Her research focuses on fiscal and monetary policy frameworks in emerging market economies, and commodity prices and inflation dynamics.
