This Work Program (WP) translates the strategic directions and policy priorities laid out in the Fall 2017 Global Policy Agenda (GPA) and the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) Communiqué into an Executive Board agenda.
Time horizon: an agenda for the next twelve months, with a focus on the next six months.
Date of statement: December 11, 2017.

Take advantage of the "window of opportunity" from the more favorable conjuncture to tackle key policy challenges.
Undertake well-sequenced reforms to:
- increase productivity,
- reduce policy uncertainty and future risks,
- improve governance.
Ensure reforms harness the benefits of technology and economic integration and that their benefits are widely shared.
Emphasize that tackling challenges to the global economy requires cooperation and joint action across the membership.

Translate strategic directions and policy priorities into specific Executive Board items over:
- the next twelve months,
- with emphasis on the next six months.
Align Board agenda with the Managing Director’s GPA as fully supported by the IMFC.

Prioritize well-sequenced reform measures that:
- raise productivity,
- reduce policy uncertainty and future risks,
- strengthen governance frameworks.
Design reforms to capture technological and integration benefits while promoting broad-based sharing of gains.
Maintain multilateral cooperation and joint action across IMF membership to address global economic challenges.
