Giovanni Melina

Giovanni Melina is an Economist in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund. Before joining the Fund, he worked as an Associate Professor of Macroeconomics at City University London. He has made contributions in the areas of Macroeconomics and Monetary and Fiscal Policy. His research focuses on understanding the sources and propagation of macroeconomic shocks, on the design of monetary and fiscal stabilization policies, and the link between macroeconomic policy and growth in developing countries. He obtained a PhD in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London.
