Marcello Estevão is currently the IMF Mission Chief for Peru. He joined the IMF in 2000 following 5 years at the U.S. Federal Reserve Board. At the IMF, he has worked as Mission Chief to Central American and Caribbean countries, Deputy Chief of the North American, Regional Studies, and Central American divisions, and economist for several European countries, Brazil, and the euro area. From 2013 to 2015 he was the Chief Economist for North America and Oceania at Tudor Investment Corporation. Mr. Estevão has a PhD in Economics from MIT and has published in leading academic journals, the international media, and books.
