Jihad Dagher is an Economist in the Macro-Financial Division of the IMF Research Department. Before joining the Research Department, he worked in the IMF Western Hemisphere Department, participating to Article IV missions to the United States and Canada. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Southern California and his research interests are in financial economics, with a recent focus on the regulation of financial intermediaries. He has published in several academic journals among which are the Journal of Financial Economics, Economic Journal, and Macroeconomic Dynamics.
