Financial stability policy makers and national or regional prudential supervisors.

No previous knowledge of climate risk required. Some knowledge of financial risk, stress testing and supervisory techniques required.

The course will introduce participants to climate risk analysis, by presenting the IMF staff's emerging approach to assessing the impact of climate change and climate mitigation policies on banking sector stability risks conducted in the context of the IMF Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP). The course will also explain approaches to regulation and supervision of climate related financial risks, discuss related international frameworks, including examples of good practices, and elaborate on the IMF activities in the area.
