Saad Quayyum is an Economist in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department at the International Monetary Fund. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. He has also worked at the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. At the Fund, he has done research on remittances, foreign aid, trade, growth, diversification, and natural disasters. In addition, he has significant experience working with number of developing and emerging economies, and addressing fiscal, external, monetary and financial sector policy challenges.
