Yuanchen Yang is an economist in the Macro-Policy Division of the Strategy, Policy, and Review Department at the International Monetary Fund. Previously, she worked in the Regional Studies Division of the IMF’s African Department. Before joining the IMF, she worked at the Inter-American Development Bank. She was a Fulbright scholar and visiting fellow at Harvard University in 2018-2019. Her research interests lie at the intersection of macroeconomics and finance, covering issues related to international trade, financial market, fiscal policy, real estate and innovation. She holds a PhD in Applied Economics from Tsinghua University.
