Dan Devlin

Dan Devlin is part of the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department, specializing in tax policy with a keen interest in the extractive industries. At the Fund his work includes tax policy advice for developing countries and fiscal modeling of resource projects. Prior to joining the Fund in 2018, Dan was the Senior Economist in Natural Resource Taxation at the OECD, providing guidance and analysis for developing countries on profit shifting, tax and mining, including as a sector expert under Tax Inspectors Without Borders. Dan has also worked for the United Nations, and at the Australian Treasury where his work included international corporate taxation and revenue forecasting. At Treasury, Dan also spent 3 years within the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, and worked in post-conflict Iraq. He has a Masters in Economic Policy from the Australian National University.
