Dmitry Plotnikov is an economist in the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department, where he has worked on countries in Central and South America. His past research has focused on labor market issues, fiscal policy, multiple equilibria and time-series econometrics. He has also worked in the IMF’s Institute for Capacity Development where he taught courses for country officials, including through online courses. Dmitry holds a PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
