Uma Ramakrishnan is currently Deputy Director of the IMF’s Strategy, Policy and Review Department. She leads the department’s policy work on non-concessional lending. Since joining the Fund in 1998, she has worked on a variety of countries across Asia and Pacific, Western Hemisphere and the Middle East, including as mission chief for Jamaica and Egypt. She has also worked extensively on IMF lending policies and has broad experience in the crisis work at the Fund.
