Yannick Timmer is an Economist at the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund. Before starting at the IMF, Yannick obtained his PhD from Trinity College Dublin. During his PhD, Yannick was also a visiting student at Princeton University and had positions at the European Systemic Risk Board, the Deutsche Bundesbank, and the Central Bank of Ireland. His research covers a wide range of issues in macroeconomics and finance. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics and The Review of Financial Studies.
