Petya Koeva Brooks is Deputy Director in the IMF’s Strategy, Policy, and Review Department. She was previously in charge of the unit responsible for Euro Area surveillance (2012-2014), and the World Economic Studies division in the Research Department that produces the IMF’s flagship publication, the World Economic Outlook (2009-2012).  She has a Ph.D. from MIT.
