Dimitris Drakopoulos is a Senior Financial Sector Expert in the Global Markets Analysis Division of the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department. He contributes to the Global Financial Stability Report on issues relating to emerging markets, fixed income markets and crypto assets and is a member of the Fund’s market surveillance team. Prior to joining the IMF, he worked at Nomura in London where he held various roles including Head of EMEA EM Research and Senior Eurozone Economist. Dimitris started his career at Lehman Brothers where he worked at the interest rate derivatives desk. He holds a MSc in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London and BSc in Economics and Social Policy from the London School of Economics.
