Enrica Detragiache is an Assistant Director in the IMF’s European Department, where she is currently mission chief for Germany. Before joining the IMF, she taught economics at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. Her research has covered banking and financial crises, corporate finance, labor migration, and development economics, and was published in major academic journals. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Turin, Italy.
