Estelle Xue Liu is a senior economist in the European Department of the IMF, mostly responsible for Cyprus. She has also worked in the Fiscal Affairs Department, with the South Africa team in the African Department, and in the Global Markets Analysis division in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the IMF. In 2017-2018, she worked as a seminar manager in the Research Department at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. She holds a Ph.D in international economics from University of California at Santa Cruz.
