Futoshi Narita is a Senior Economist in the Research Department of the IMF. His research interests include macroeconomics, finance, and development, with a focus on the use of micro and nontraditional data to address macroeconomic issues. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota and joined the IMF in 2011. He has worked in the Finance Department, the African Department, and the Strategy, Policy, and Review Department of the IMF.
