John Caparusso is a Senior Financial Sector Expert in the Global Markets Analysis Division of the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department. He contributes to the Global Financial Stability Report mainly on issues relating to banks, financial system stability, and corporate solvency and default risk. Prior to joining the IMF, John was a sell-side equities analyst covering banks and other financial institutions banks in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other jurisdictions across Asia-Pacific, and lived in Asia for 25 years. John has a Master’s degree in Public and Private Management from Yale and a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College.
