Wenjie Chen

Wenjie Chen is an economist in the IMF’s African Department, where she contributes to the Regional Economic Outlook. Prior to joining the IMF, she worked as an assistant professor at George Washington University where she taught International Finance and Macroeconomics. Her research interests include foreign direct investment, China-Africa, global value chains and applied econometric methods. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Michigan.
